Flexible Workflow in S/4HANA
Standard, configurable approval workflows for the processes most organisations need — purchase requisitions and orders, supplier invoices, journal entries, and more. Configured rather than coded, which means it survives upgrades cleanly. This is the first place to look, and it covers more ground than most teams expect.
SAP Build Process Automation
SAP's current platform on Business Technology Platform, for workflows that go beyond what standard covers — processes spanning multiple systems, or combining forms, decision logic, and task automation. This is where the capability SAP previously marketed as SAP Workflow Management now lives.
SAP Business Workflow
The classic ABAP workflow engine, still running quietly in many ECC and S/4HANA landscapes. It remains supported, and if yours works well there is no urgency to replace it. We support and extend existing Business Workflow alongside the newer options.
The best workflow is often the one you don't have to build.
